PRAYER IS ONE OF THE MOST VITAL ACTIVITIES
A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN CAN PARTICIPATE IN

Prayer is in the New Testament 174 times. The first mention is Matthew 5:44 "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your FATHER Who is in Heaven"
It is GOD the FATHER Whom JESUS is using as an example of Them being kind to Their enemies.....us. Did you know before you got saved you were an enemy to GOD? Who me? Yes, you were. Read on.
Romans 8:7 "Because
the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of
God, neither indeed can be".
Face it, you and the lost world were friends. Perhaps you laughed at their jokes,
let your eyes watch sin as entertainment, smoked their cigarettes, played their
slot machines, listened to their demonic music, wore their alluring clothes,
sat in their religious churches doing the same things week after week instead
of fulfilling HIS orders to leave the walls of a building to go and touch the
World for HIM. Those things are sin.
Matthew 5:20 "For
I [JESUS] say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed [the
righteousness] of the scribes [people of letters: bible scholars, philosophers,
Ph.D's, etc.] and Pharisees, [proud religious: priests, ministers, 'reverends',
lay people] you will in no case enter into the Kingdom of Heaven".
Don't look to them. Romans 10:3 "they being ignorant of GOD's
righteousness, and going about to establish their
own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of GOD"
Submit yourself to the Righteous One, JESUS CHRIST, and submit your prayer concerns to HIM.
Romans 5:8 "But GOD commended
His Love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, CHRIST died for us".
There is Hope.
JESUS CHRIST IS OUR EXAMPLE, HE OFTEN PRAYED AND SPOKE ABOUT PRAYING
Matthew 14:23 "when HE had sent the multitudes away, HE went up into a mountain apart to pray: when the evening was come, HE was there alone. 26:36 Then came JESUS with them unto a place called Gethsemane, said to the disciples, Sit here, while I go and pray yonder".

John 3:3 " JESUS answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of GOD. 4 Nicodemus said unto Him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 JESUS answered, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born of water [flesh, physical birth, when the water sac bursts and the baby is born] and [of] the [HOLY] Spirit, [Spiritual rebirth+, transformed*] he cannot enter into the Kingdom of GOD. 6 What is born of the flesh is flesh; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I [JESUS CHRIST} said unto you, 'You must be born again'".
+ Romans 8:4 "That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit".
* Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but you be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, Will of GOD".
Romans 8:10 "And if CHRIST [be] in you....the SPIRIT [is] life because of righteousness".
If you didn't need a Saviour, why did CHRIST volunteer to leave
Heaven, come to the Earth, live an overcomer's supernatural life, then choose
to suffer a humiliating death when HE was an innocent man who could have called
12 legions of Holy Angels out of the sky to rescue HIM ? (Mt. 26:53)
HE did this due to HIS Love for each person in the Universe. You need to believe
HIM.
Romans 10:10 "For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation".
1 Corinthians 1:30 "But of HIM [GOD the FATHER] are you in CHRIST JESUS, who of GOD is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, as it is written, He that glories, let him glory in the LORD". Ps. 44:8 "In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever". Romans 2:17 "...and make your boast of GOD".
What does this have to do with praying ?
James 5:16b The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man (woman or child) avails much.
1 Corinthians . 1:30 "But of HIM are you in CHRIST JESUS, Who of GOD is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:" Psalm 143:1 "Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, [and] in Thy righteousness". HE is our righteousness.
Hebrews 4:14 "Seeing
then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the Heavens, JESUS
the SON of GOD, let us hold fast [our] profession. 15 For we have not an High
Priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was
in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin".
HE was and is the only Righteous, Sinless Person that ever lived. HE is our
help in every need.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE WALKING UPRIGHTLY
Don't think you can call yourself
a CHRISTian or Born Again and live any way you want
and still be heard and answered.
Paul, writing to those who
said they were followers of CHRIST;
but were carnal (worldly, fleshly minded, not spiritual), wrote:
1 Corinthians. 15:34
"Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some [CHRISTians]
have not the knowledge of God: I speak [this] to your shame". 6:9 "Know you
not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of GOD? Be not
deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor
thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor
extortioners, shall inherit the Kingdom of GOD". 11
"And such were some of you: you are washed,
you are sanctified, you are justified in the Name of the LORD JESUS,
and by the SPIRIT of our GOD".
( If you are doing any of the above mentioned sins STOP immediately and repent,
get right with GOD )
John 16:8 "And when HE is come, HE will reprove the world of sin, and
of righteousness, and of judgment":
If you want to see your prayers
answered, one of the things you must be is strongly pro-life. I did
not have many important prayers answered until I repented of liberal beliefs,
and affirmed my biblical faith in the value of every human's life from conception.
Is GOD really Pro-Life ? YES !
Warning from
GOD the FATHER:
Isaiah 1:15 "And when you spread forth your hands, I will hide Mine
eyes from you: when you make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are
full of blood".
When the HOLY SPIRIT was delivering me from new age teachings, I got on my knees and sincerely prayed. I ask HIM, the Heavenly FATHER, "How do YOU feel? Both sides have what seems like logical arguments but I just want the truth from YOU". HE asked me a question, "Are you in favor of killing a baby six months after birth?" I was aghast; of course I was not. HE said, "To ME it is the same baby six months after birth as it was six months before birth, so if you are not in favor of one, don't you approve of the other". The Voice inside was very firm and stern with the serious weight of the matter to HIM. I knew inside, the nine months rule was also parallel. Have you ever held a baby that age? They are so precious. They will laugh, smile; some walk that soon. They are innocent and wonderful, even when they cry it is just because they need us. They have from conception,.....no matter how that occurred. I heard it from Heaven.
Who are you in relationship with ?
2 Corinthians. 6:14
"Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:
for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness?
what communion has light with darkness"?
You could be the difference
between life and death with your prayers.
I have been, and it's very sobering.
(Your responsibility for personal sanctification and obedience is paramount
in adding weight to your prayers)
Be careful who you ask to pray with or for you.
Proverbs
28:9 "He
that turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is abomination".
15:8 "The sacrifice
of the wicked an abomination to the LORD: prayers of the upright His delight".
29 "The LORD,
far from the wicked: He hears the prayer of the righteous".
Avoid any person or group who would be in league (knowingly or unknowingly) with the devil via unbiblical belief systems or traditions. Leave the Masons, Knights of Columbus, Eastern Star, Elks, or any other psuedo CHRISTian or civic club; association with them will suck the effectiveness out of prayers.
Revelation 9:21 "Neither
repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries (ceremonial worship
is sorcery) nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts". These things
are sinful. Those places will deal death because they are not life;
no matter what they say. HE is Life.
Hebrews 12:2 "Looking to JESUS, the author and finisher
of [our] faith".
Partner with Believers for Effectual Agreement.
Colossians 4:12 "Epaphras, is [one] of you, a servant of CHRIST, greets you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God".
Be kind. (Ephesians 4:32
And you be kind one to another...) Praying a long time for something,
yet unanswered, can be a burden.
2 Corinthians. 2:7
"you ought rather to forgive him and comfort
him
lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow".
Don't have an earthly prayer team?
The HOLY SPIRIT will transmit a message to Heaven and help you pray. HE is magnificent.
John 16:7 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient (advantageous, advisable, desirable, wise) for you that I [JESUS] go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send HIM to you".
My Best Friend in Heaven is JESUS CHRIST, my best friend on Earth is the HOLY SPIRIT.
THEY can be yours, too. Just ask for THEIR help. THEY are Loving, Faithful and Supernatural.
Pray in the HOLY SPIRIT
Tongues
( Here I will say goodbye to the spiritually unaware who think tongues is
not for today,
or worse are opposed to HIM. Your loss.

to us,

1 Corinthians 6:17
"he that is joined to the LORD is one Spirit. Romans 8:26 Likewise
the [HOLY] SPIRIT also helps our infirmities: we know not what we should
pray for as we ought: the [HOLY] SPIRIT HIMself makes intercession for us
with groanings that cannot be uttered. 27 He that searches the hearts knows
what [ is ] the mind of the Spirit, because HE makes intercession for the
saints according to [ the Will of ] GOD".

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In MY Name [JESUS
CHRIST] shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Act 2:4 And they were all filled with the HOLY SPIRIT, and began to
speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts
10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Acts
19:6 And when Paul had laid [his] hands upon them, the HOLY SPIRIT came
on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
1 Corinthians 14:2 For he that speaks in an [unknown] tongue speaks
not unto men, but unto GOD: for no man understandeth [him]; howbeit in the
SPIRIT HE speaks mysteries. )
PRAY for WISDOM and DISCERNMENT
Mark 2:8 "...immediately...JESUS perceived in His Spirit ". Malachi 3:18b "...discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves GOD and him that serves Him not". Ezekiel 44:23 "...they will teach my people [the difference] between the holy and profane, cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean". 1Corinthians. 2:14 "the natural man receives not the things of the SPIRIT of GOD: ... because they are spiritually discerned". 1 Corinthians 12:10 "To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues"...
WHO ARE YOU PRAYING TO
?
Pray in the Name of JESUS CHRIST only.
We have a Living Intercessor
in Heaven. 1 Timothy 2:5 one
GOD, ONE mediator between Romans 8:34b [It is]
CHRIST that died, yes.. that is risen again, Who is at the right hand of
GOD,
Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost
that come to GOD by HIM,
seeing HE [ JESUS CHRIST ] ever lives to make intercession for them.
GOD and men, the Man CHRIST JESUS;
Who also makes intercession for us".
Hebrews 12:24
"JESUS the mediator of the new covenant"
( Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there
is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must
be saved. )
NEVER pray before an image
or statue of any type, of anyone or anything living or dead.
Ezekiel 14:6b "Thus said the LORD GOD; Repent, and turn [yourselves] from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations". Don't use prayer beads like the Islamic and Buddhist non-believers do; never ever pray them in any form; including, but not limited to, the rosary. Matthew 6:7 But when
you pray, use NOT vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think
that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 23:14b Woe to you, hypocrites...for
a pretense make long prayer:
therefore you shall receive the greater damnation".
These things will hinder and delay your prayers, and could bring a curse to those who pray them. I formerly did these things. I can tell you from personal experience, it will play havoc with your mental, emotional and spiritual life. This never has the desired result.
If you have done these non-scriptural
practices in the past: repent, tell JESUS you are sorry for insulting HIM.
Promise JESUS, in the future, your prayers will be in HIS Name, because
HE earned us the right to be able to obey Hebrews 4:16. "Let us
therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy,
and find grace to help in time of need".
What about all the apparitions where these beads were given or encouraged to be said? 2 Corinthians 11:14 no marvel; for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore [it is] no great thing if his [satan's] ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end will be according to their works.
BELIEVE and PRAY SCRIPTURES by FAITH
Mark 5:36 "..JESUS..said...Be
not afraid only believe"
Matthew 21:22 "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer,
believing, you shall receive".
WATCH and PRAY FOR STRENGTH
Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak". Romans 12:3 "For I say, through the grace given to me, to every man that is among you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought.. to think soberly, according as GOD has dealt to every man the measure of faith". 2 Corinthians 10:15 "Not boasting of things without measure, of other men's labours; having hope, when your faith is increased". Continue in prayer.
Repentance and Intercesssion and Fasting
It takes a humble heart to recognize our need and total dependence on HIS Grace.
Acts 20:21 "Testifying
both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward GOD, and
faith toward our LORD JESUS CHRIST". Matthew 17:21 "this kind
goes not out but by prayer and fasting".
Fasting is like jet fuel to speed prayers.
Compassionate Prayer
NEVER pray 'Whatever it takes, God' for another
1 Timothy 2:1 " I
exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions,
[and] giving of thanks, be made for all men". Romans 2:4..the riches
of HIS goodness .. forbearance .. long-suffering ..the goodness
of GOD leads you to repentance".
Pray a good experience would lead your loved ones or strangers to repentance.
Matthew 20:34 "So JESUS had compassion [on them]". When people experience
the Love and Mercy of GOD, it changes them. It is mean to pray something
bad to bring a person to CHRIST, you say you care about. Please don't
do that. I have observed this sadly backfire on people. They did not
understand why either someone close to them died, or something happened
to themselves or their child, due to this type of prayer for others. They
have sown to the wind. Hosea 8:7a, Luke 9:55
DEDICATE YOUR HOME, LIFE, FAMILY TO JESUS CHRIST
In Mark 11:17b JESUS said, "MY house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer"
